Wisconsin Rapids chiropractor Dr. Mike Cook

Dr. Mike Cook

“I’d never been to a chiropractor before, but on a whim I tried it out.”

“I became a chiropractor because I like the idea of helping people naturally without the use of pharmaceuticals, surgery or anything else that can have harmful effects.” Dr. Mike felt like he could gain a better rapport with patients by being a chiropractor.

Chiropractic Relieved My Symptoms

When Dr. Mike was in college, he injured his neck weightlifting. After suffering with headaches and black outs and treating the problem with handfuls of Aleve he was ready for an alternative. “I’d never been to a chiropractor before, but on a whim I tried it out.” Within a couple of weeks my neck was getting better and I was feeling great.”

Discovering My Passion for Chiropractic

Following his injury Dr. Mike researched the chiropractic profession and did some job shadowing to learn more about it. Suddenly a once undecided college major was pre-med and applying to chiropractic schools. Dr. Mike decided to attend Northwestern College of Chiropractic and was amazed at how much easier school is when passionate about the subject. Dr. Mike’s passion for chiropractic continues and he shows that in his patient’s treatment.

Life Outside the Office

“Aside from practicing chiropractic I enjoy playing with my two boys, harassing my wife, hunting, fishing and staying in shape.” As far as community involvement goes, Dr. Mike participates in BNI, helps fundraise for the Lincoln High School football team, and sponsors countless other community fundraising events.
